If this has been documented elsewhere, would you be so kind as summarize or provide a link?

Every time I come back to my Mini, the screen overfills the display and I can't see the top or bottom of screen. I have to move the cursor off screen and poke around to located the utilities or applications on the lower bar. With prior releases, I was able to change the scanning value to make the display fit the screen.

My current fix is to go to the display settings, and select a different resolution, then select 1080. It fixes it until the Mini goes to sleep or is rebooted.

what is the permanent fix for this issue?

Fixed. I have a 4 year old HP Pavilion 27xi monitor. Turning off monitor's overscan under image control seems to let the 'default for display' resolution work properly.
