Hi,

I noticed that quite a lot of folders in my home directory (those that begins with a .) are not visible when I am browsing through in finder. Is there a way to enable the viewing of such files?

I'm trying to back them up actually, but apart from using the command line it really seems like there is no other way, which is quite limiting

Or use Terminal to give the command defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES, then restart Finder (e.g. by logging in and out, unless you've enabled Quit Finder).

:D

Good Luck. Just remember they're hidden for a reason, so don't go around deleting random DS_Store files. :p

I'd much rather see someone delete a useless .DS_Store file than others.
