iPad mini DIY iPad Mini 6 Super Thin Hard Plastic (Non-Folio) Case +/- MagSafe

I wanted to share a little project with everyone in case someone is interested.

Basically, I was looking for a thin hard plastic case for the iPad mini 6 but everywhere I looked (e.g., Apple, Amazon, eBay, etc) only had folio-style cases, thick heavy-duty cases, or clear TPU cases (which was what I was originally using but didn’t like how it attracts so much fingerprints and was actually a little too thick for my taste; also, I’m petty sure it’ll yellow over time).

Anyway, I decided to make my own case using one of the folio style cases. I bought the cheapest one at the time ($6 from Amazon 50% off promotion) and simply cut out the front cover.

For kicks, I also purchased a magnetic MagSafe-shaped sticker from Amazon ($12) to adhere to the back of the above case so I could use the various MagSafe mounts/accessories I have around the house and in my car.

I attached various pictures of different steps along this project. Also, I attached a picture of how much thinner the case is compared to the clear TPU case which I will be returning.

FYI
-the MagSafe sticker protrudes out a little so you can feel it but it’s not that bothersome
-there’s space to attach and charge the Apple Pencil.
-I was successfully able to use this while driving with it attached on my Belkin MagSafe car mount since the iPad mini 6 weighs only a little more than the 13 Pro Max.
-it’s not the most protective case but it does cover the corners and the back, which also keeps the profile of the entire thing very slim in the hands
