Do all W1 headphones pause when you take them out of your ear, or only AirPods

I know that the AirPods pause when you remove one from your ear. I was wondering... is this a feature of all W1 enabled headphones that go in your ear like the Powerbeats 3 and presumably the BeatsX, or is it exclusive to the AirPods?

AirPods only as it has an optical sensor to detect when they're in your ear.
