Hi,

I have an older Blu-ray drive in my machine. System Profiler reports "BD-Write: -R, -RE". Is this likely to be sufficient to write a 50 GB BD-RE or do I need a newer drive?

The drive is an LG GGW-H20L.

Thanks :)

Edit: Don't worry about it; after a bit more digging I've found a few forum posts indicating success. Time to buy some media! :)

Just an update for anyone in the same situation: It seems that Finder doesn't like DL media. I put a 40 GB file on a 50 GB disc, and it burned the first 25 GB and then failed. Fortunately Disco works correctly!
