So I recently purchased a 4K TV and am upgrading from the 3rd gen Apple TV to the new Apple TV 4K. When I bought the 3rd gen version, I bought the Apple HDMI cable to accompany it. I saw that they now don’t sell that and only sell an ultra high speed cable from Belkin so I assume I’ll need to upgrade my cable to take advantage of the new hardware. Can anyone confirm? I can’t find the specs of Apple’s old cable anywhere.

Yep. You'll need a 4K compatible HDMI cable. They're available just about everywhere for decent prices. I bought mine for cheap at Walmart. Just get the length you need and you'll be all set.
