Do The Function Keys On Apple Bluetooth Keyboard Act as iPad Specific Buttons?

Some were speculating the the function (top row) keys on the Apple bluetooth keyboard might function as their counterpart keys on the keyboard dock (F1 serving as home button, etc.).

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Doesn't work that way, alas. The brightness, play/pause/rewind/fast forward, and volume control buttons on the bluetooth keyboard work. The other ones (including spotlight and expose) do nothing. None of them act as the home button or any of the other specialized functionality
