That would be a strong show of intent - that the pro can do anything a laptop can.

Performance wise would it cope? And you wouldn't be able to attach a phone I suppose but could that be dealt with via a Bluetooth connection, or just use the iPad to run the builds on (no emulator required)

I've no idea either way and I am sure it would take significant effort, but what do people think?

I can't imagine performance would be great. It is the #1 thing holding me back from replacing my laptop with a tablet though. 4 GB of ram isn't going to be great. Compile times would probably be outrageous.

it would be useless unless you could install build tools, frameworks, and compile/run third party libs and have access to the filesystem. Only way I see this working is if it somehow runs fully in the cloud and you just remote to an OS X instance.
