Considering now iPhones from the original 2G to 4/4s even 5 cost a few hundred, if not thousand dollars sealed and unused. Even Apple watch or original iPods.

Do you reckon the iPod Touch 4G sealed will cost a lot in the future? 20-30 years at least.

People said "No" to this question a few years ago for different old Apple products but now they're proven wrong, I'm really curious what do you guys think.

For some reason, more than any other iOS product of the era, boxed 4Gs are abundant. They're very easy to find currently. Now I can't say if that will increase within 30 years, but it seems like for a while they will be fairly common and cheap. The question that remains to be seen is whether they will be worth a lot because of collectors or natural scarcity as the years go by.

The App Store will probably not work on them anymore then, so no. It's only been 13 years since the original iPhone and they all still work on the current cellular networks, but who knows how it's going to look like in another ten years? They will lose most of their value once they can't be used as a phone anymore. The Apple Watch is only going to have a value as long as it can pair with current iPhones.

The original iPods themselves are just going to get scarce as time goes on. But they're still going to be 100% usable even if Apple itself goes away.

If it's to remain sealed for collectors, what does it matter if the App Store functions or not?

I think any sealed Apple products will likely fluctuate in cost over time, but usually as time goes by, things become more scarce and harder to find, so the value will likely increase for a sealed iPod touch, even though they aren't worth much right now. Time will tell.
