i have tried a version of jailbreak on my ipod touch 8g and i bricked it i wasnt sure what i was doing and went straight into downloading it. it wouldnt reset or restore i know you might know how to restore it but ive tried everything.
I ended up having to bring it back to the store.
I am now waiting on a second one and this time i dont want to brick it but i still want the apps to go on is their a safe app downloader out there or will i have to wait awhile.
does anybody know if 'touchfree' will work on my ipod touch 8g and for anybody that has done it do i have to reboot the ipod after every step before clicking the next step.
does the apps take up much memory itself will i have enough memory for my music
plllllzzzzz help im dyin' here!!!:confused:thnkzzzz 4 readin!!
heres the link for 'touch free'

I don't know if you necessarily bricked it.
How did you try and restore it? There are many ways to restore the 1.1.1 firmware. Touch free and summerboard, etc don't write to the firmware so should have not actually bricked it. You could have tried to manually restore the firmware.
Here is a great walkthrough for touchfree:

Hi crism. I am in America (central time zone)
TouchFree is the way to go for Windows PC users. I am not sure if everyone is using the Alpha Version of the installer yet You can find the alpha version on the site you went to initially http://www.slovix.com/touchfree/. In the first paragraph under the "news" section is where the Alpha version is. You will also want to verify you have .net framework 3.0 installed (there is a link on that page for it) Some people who have used the 0.6 installer version (under the Jailbreak category of this page) have had issues with the summerboard dock sticking at the top which also has a quick fix for. If this happens, follow the instructions step by step here to fix.

Good luck
