iPad Pro Does Magic Keyboard case still drain battery on iPad Air/Pro?

I have seen a lot of posts on Reddit from people a few years ago complaining about significant battery drain when using the Magic Keyboard case on Air/Pro iPads.

What is the experience like today- was that just a bug, and for the most part at this point, those of you with the Magic Keyboard do not experience much battery drain? (especially if backlighting is turned off)

To be clear, that's my subjective evaluation over many months of use, both with and without the MKB attached, i.e., I have not done any explicit testing or data collection. But I honestly cannot see a battery impact from use of the MKB.

Charged my iPad Pro 12.9 2018 sunday afternoon, used it for 15-30 minutes in the evening of sunday and monday, found it this morning with 93%. I agree with sparksd that said negligible 👍🏻

For me, I have not noticed any significant drain using the MK on my 11” IPP. I pretty much use the MK each weekday while working from home in conjunction with my work laptop. I haven’t conducted any tests or anything like that, but I would imagine that the battery drain would be very similar in daily use if I weren’t using the MK and simply using the iPad for the same uses during the day.

Just keep the keyboard backlight on low brightness. There is no need to have it cranked up.

Same here, very negligible. It seems, the power to MK is cut when the iPad goes sleep, which is very efficient due to MK use pin to connect instead of Bluetooth.
