Just swapped to a new battery for my 7+, but the battery seems to be draining like my old battery, do i need to do a re-calibration of some sorts?

Should have fully charged it before turning it on I think. Either that or it’s a poor quality battery, or fault with the device in another area.

Or maybe the battery wasn't the problem? Battery drain isn't a matter of calibration, it's a matter of usage. Use the information in the battery settings to see what apps are responsible for the usage.

There is no accurate calibration that you can do. You have an underlying problem or got a bad battery (unlikely in this case).

From what I’ve learned using the iPhone over the years, I’d let the battery fully drain, charge it up to 100% without removing the the lightning cable/wireless pad and after it is fully charged, perform a hard reset and the battery should not drain as fast. I do this when a new iOS version gets loaded on my iPhone. Hope that helps...
