I'm having a real nightmare with this.

Basically, I have a registered domain name, which has been paired with my static ip address, and mx record, by my domain name host. I have contacted my isp to set up the correct reverse mapping to my server and set up my router to forward port 80 to the net (using the server's local ip address which may be part of the problem?), but the domain name just will not resolve to the server; Safari tells me the page could not be opened because the server couldn't be found.

To give further insight, in Web set up, I have chosen the server's local ip address from the menu, as opposed to the 'Any' or 'Other' options, which could also be the wrong thing to do. I have to say, Apple's documentation for all of this, is pretty useless. Totally ambiguous and no working examples! How the hell does anyone ever get to grips with this stuff?

Anyway, enough ranting - can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!
