Hello,

I've got a MacBook Air 13 (2012)

It's starts with a generic Ac power adapter but it does not charging the battery and the MagSafe LED never lights...

When i try a official power adapter; it's not turn on, it's not charging and the led dont' light....

with the generic power adapter, i've got this informations on the Mac :

Informations de l’adaptateur secteur :

Connecté : Oui

Identifiant : 0x0000

Révision : 0x0000

Famille : 0x0000

Nº de série : 0x00000000

En cours de chargement : Non

When i try "without SMC", both power adapter work... with the fan very fast , but not charging and without led on the magsafe.

but none recognized by the mac, no info.

to sum up the situation :

with SMC

generic power adapter : turn on the mac, don't charging

official power adapter : don't turn on the mac, don't charge

"without SMC"

generic power adapter : turn on the mac, don't charge

official power adapter : turn on the mac, don't charge

the magsafe LED never lights.

it's could be a problem of the i/o board ?

help !!! please. (sorry for my english)

I belive there was a change in the mag-safe connections over time. My wife has a 2012 MBP and I am waiting for a reason to update by older 2010 AIR. There was a 2008 MBA in the house and depending on where we plug them into to charge some will not charge with certain mag-safe ends.

Note: all are original Apple connections.

I try with a old official power adapter (mavbook pro 2010) with a magasafe converter.
Same problem. The macbbook air (2012) don't turn on and there is no light on the magsafe..

I'm waiting for a I/O board, i just ordered...

I hope this will solve my problem
