I was updating a new iPad Mini Retina from 7.1.1 to 8.1, and after the somewhat lengthy install on the iPad itself, iTunes told me that there was a software update available, and asked whether I wanted to update, so I clicked "yes". I guess there is some sort of glitch with the Mini, because 8.1 was in fact installed, except I did the entire update twice. (The solution was to eject the Mini, close iTunes, and re-connect, and iTunes then recognized that 8.1 was installed.)
Could this have corrupted the software on the iPad itself? Somehow, my "Other" category jumped up by a couple of Gigs after the install. Is there anything I should be looking out for?
Many thanks in advance.
