Hi. Does anybody know if I can make my iPhone 5s get iOS 14 even though its highest version is iOS 12.4.8?

I want to see if I can sneak around it or cheat it.

There isn't a way to do that. There's no iOS 14 installer for iPhone 5s and Apple doesn't sign that version for iPhone 5s (meaning even if some attempt was made to try to install something the installation wouldn't happen as it wouldn't pass the validation check from Apple which isn't something that can be bypassed).

If you could, then there are a lot of jailbreak developers that would like to speak with you. Because the same process would also allow downgrading.

Alas, not possible.

Just get a new battery installed. It’s still a good phone. I’ve got a 32gb gold 5S that still looks great. Feels good to because it fits a lot better than my xs max lol

A clear upgrade would be the first gen SE that WILL be getting iOS 14. They are pretty cheap too.

In the middle of several books.
Iphone SE gen 2016 is the same form as your current phone and is still receiving OS updates if I’m not mistaken. Still available new from reputable eBay sellers for just over $100.
Most of those listing are repacked refurbished phones listed as new. And most of the time, the sellers have bad feedback or new to eBay. It looks like a one big scamming ring going on on ebay with the SE (original). The listings that are legit want way too much money for the phone.
