Hi. I have a Seagate Backup Plus Hub 6TB formatted HFS+. I am trying to transfer a lot of data, starts fast (160MB/sec) but after a period of time (between 15 and 45 mins) it slows down (to 18MB/s). If I unmonunt and remount it makes on difference. If I pause transfer and restart it makes difference. Only way to get it working fast is to power it down and power it up again. Any ideas? Ben

Speed reduction is an indication that the drive is going bad.
