I once came across a website that had quite a few alternatives to Apple's Superdrive listed which would fit/work in a Mac Pro, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find it again. Does anyone happen to know of a location listing compatible drives since I don't really wanna pay an apple premium for a second mac pro superdrive?

I use a Pioneer 110 and everything is supported (iTunes, iDVD,...)

Thanks for the find. I also discovered that the LG GSA-H22N works pretty much perfectly as well. The only thing you'll likely have to do with the LG is remove the front faceplate from the CD drawer itself (when the drawer is open, it snaps off without any problems and is easily reattached if you later needed to do so).

I got mine from Newegg for 30 bucks. :)
