Probably not too much of a chance of burning DVDs from an iBook because it is a G3...
My understanding (correct me if I am wrong) is that you need the power of a G4 to burn DVDs...
I assume that you mean to burn consumer DVDs (like the SuperDrive does). I am not sure, but you may be able to burn DVD-RAM disks with a G3...
