I have a DVD that someone wants me to edit and cut unneeded frames out of. What is the best program for this? I have ripped the DVD to .VOB files. What format do I need to get this in to be able to import in a program to edit? Thanks for the help

Use Handbrake instead
You can rip the DVD and bring it to a .mov or .mp4 format. Then import to FCP. FCE or iMovie..
