DVD Player on Catalina

Did the venerable DVD Player make it to Catalina?

If it didn't make it...what are people's best solutions for playing DVDs if needed?

(Please stow all talk about DVDs being obsolete, it's boring. I'm just checking if when I need to read an archived DVD I will be able to easily.)

go to your applications folder and in the search bar type DVD player and see if that works then you could drop it in your dock

In beta 1 it is still there, with the same version number as Mojave, 6.0.
If you ever need an alternativee; VLC works well enough

I don't know about Catalina, but on Mojave it is buried in ⁨"System⁩ ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨CoreServices⁩ ▸ ⁨Applications⁩".
BTW, any advice on comparable Blu-ray player working on Catalina?

And I get it from the App Store for security of the Application itself. I think you may find other, more recent, versions which have not made it through the App Store checks. This older App Store version still works for me. Too bad Apple has not folded Blu-ray player into an App like DVD Player.... Recall reading somewhere that Steve Jobs was quoted as saying that "Blu-ray security is a world of hurt"...
