My wife was using my ipad to browse the web and received two e-mails with similar subject lines from my e-mail account that contained just a link that looked like some google doc. Based on the signature line, I believe this came from the ipad and the two e-mails do appear in my sent mail (and no others). I've changed my gmail password, though based on this I don't think the actual account was compromised.

I closed all the browser sessions. I was on 11.4.1, and have just run the latest update to 12.0.1.

Unfortunately, she also clicked the link, since she sent me an e-mail stating that she didn't have access (argh!). Since she's not up yet, I don't know which device that was on.

What additional steps should be taken to secure my ipad? I don't have a sense of if a malware or virus-like code can remain on the ipad after something like this occurs.

Thanks!
