Not sure if E3 will survive this. It has already been hit by Sony and Geoff Keighley abandoning the show as well as the creative director resigning. A year without E3 may bring about what many have predicted for years now: the ultimate end to E3 altogether.
It has not been doing too good for a couple of years, Sony is not going there... probably it will revert back to the CES trade show.

Yeah, very good chance all the big players will have „digital“ events this year instead. Many will not want to go back once they get a taste for it. Much easier, cheaper, more control. I wouldn’t mind much either way.

I haven't kept up with gaming in a long time, but I think the E3 model is very outdated. Sure there might be some fun in attending, but doing online presentations is the future.
