macOS Eclipse issue

ok so i installed J2SE 5.0 and installed Eclipse...and i read on another thread to go to Window->Preferences->JAVA->Installed JRE's however, its not showing "Installed JRE's"...

also how does compiling and running .java files work with Eclipse...i use Edit++ on my PC and JCreator and have never used the Eclipse interface.
