I started having the Error -43 bug ever since I updated to 10.11.3 when trying to delete items from my desktop. It doesn't happen often but it does happen like it did today. I thought my system needed yet another wipe/reinstall but I found an article on MPG's website and apparently it's more widespread than I thought. I've tried terminal fixes but the only thing that works is logging out then logging back in.

I've also started having issues with any USB3 External Drives where they become unwritable unless I eject and reconnect them. This has happened with two different drives so I know it's not an isolated issue. (and on different ports)

The only solution I've found is to turn off "Let Hard Drives sleep" but I don't want my backup drive spinning all day when it doesn't have to.

Has anyone else had similar issues and did you find an actual fix?
