Yesterday received iPhone 14 via Courier on launch day (no prior reservation) and tried to activate on Consumer Cellular (NVMO) without success. :(

Customer service transferred around 3 different reps - none could figure out how to activate an eSIM.

They were so accustomed to using a physical SIM, that one rep said we have to mail you a SIM.

Can't believe with 4 million subscribers, they could not activate an eSIM phone!

Switched over to Tello and instant eSIM activation.

I blame Apple. This was rushed. They could've given a year's notice and change on the iphone 15.
Yes, but then how did a smaller NVMO: Tello able to get the iPhone 14 activated so fast on the eSIM yesterday?

So easy with Tello - they had a QR code that you scanned with the iPhone 14 and done.

Consumer Cellular OTOH failed & was baffled even after 30 minutes on the phone.
