So here is something weird that happened today. I got an iPhone 14 Pro Max and was passing down my 13 PM to my dad who had a 12 PM.

I started the quick setup on the 13 PM and it asked if I wanted to transfer the eSIM on my dads iPhone 12 PM. I said yes, and it asked me to authorize the transfer on the 12 PM.

12 PM asked to scan my face via Face ID so usually when using my dads iPhone and it requires Face ID I ask it to start scanning then it rejects because I don’t have my face added to it then it asks for the PIN code.

Well.. the issue here is that it did not reject my face scan and authenticated the eSIM transfer. I don’t look anything like my dad. This iPhone never even mistakenly allowed me access to it via Face ID or when using his Apple Pay account. NEVER. I don’t understand how it did for the eSIM transfer today!
