Hi,

The Ethernet port on my late 2014 27" iMac (High Sierra) works strangely:

Until now it was connected to a Netgear WNDR3700 router and has always worked. I replaced it with a modem/router Fritz!box 6890 and now it just says "cable unplugged". The router also see nothing connected.

The strange part is that if I start in recovery mode it works. In Windows with Boot Camp it works too.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Clear out all the settings, delete the prefs, delete cached contents of system/cache and library/cache, reboot and try to configure again.

It was the preference files. I deleted the content of Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and after a reboot it works.

Thanks! :)
