I have two hard disks in my MacBook, a primary for Mac OS and a secondary split into 2 partitions, one partition is NTFS bootcamp and it displays normally on my desktop and the second partition is exFat (I used it as a shared partition between Windows and Mac OS) but the exFat partition is displayed on the desktop as an external drive and I cannot access any of the folders in it....or even see them for that matter

*SOLVED*

The 10.11 install somehow corrupted the boot region on the second drive so that the expat partition was not showing in Mac OS or Windows so I fixed it with this;

Code:
sudo fsck_exfat -d disk1s2

where disk1s2 was my exfat partition, boom partition is back to normal :)
