Hello,

I need to format my drive really quick and backup some files from both my Panther Mac and XP PC. It was in Windows NT File Sytem, unwritable by the Mac.

What format can I put it in for both? It is a Maxtor USB 2.0 120GB onetouch hard drive. I don't use the one-touch feature, I just use it as a drive. I just formatted it for Mac OS X Extended (journaled), but the PC wouldn't even recognize it.

Any help is great. Don't really want to partition it, though.
Thanks!

I just formatted it as MS-DOS using Disk Utility (which is Fat32 I guess) and everything is working great between the 2 computers. I don't have anything else over 4GB, so it's ok. How does UNIX file system work between the 2 types of computers? What about file size limit?
