My 2 yr AppleCare+ warranty on iPhone 12PM has expired and now Apple is offering me to extend for $9.99/mo.

Is it worth it to pay the $120 yr or just pass????? Never had a warranty claim.

Would you rather pay $9.99/month + a $29-$99 deductible or $329-$599?

Shouldn't it be less?

Or because it's a PM they have it at the $9.99? Interesting.

One out of warranty battery replace can be equivalent of 7-8 months of this monthly fee. Go figure.
up To you, but if you are ok to afford it, why not? Even if it is just a piece of mind.

As suggested, if your battery is close to 80% you may as well get yourself 1 year of coverage which will include a battery replacement.

I swear those bitches are messing with the battery levels. I have AppleCare+ on my iPhone 12 PM, AppleWatch Series 6 and iPad Air 4 and the battery has been on 82 / 83 % FOREVER and it just refuses to finally go below 80% yet 90% to 83% happened rather quickly!

Yep, it’s a well documented phenomenon. They obviously do not want to replace batteries under AppleCare+ and are strategically making sure they do not drop below 80% within 2 years of coverage.

My 6S had around 2 hours of SoT which would realistically put it around 30% battery health. The actual battery health was down as 82% though which was clearly not accurate. I had the battery replaced which brought me back to 6+ hours of SoT.

In its case.

If you’re planning on keeping it for an extended additional time, No, it’s not.
  1. The phone is two years old; if there was any kind manufacturer’s defect, it would have come up by now.
  2. After two years with the same device, you don’t need Apple’s experts to give you advice.
  3. A battery replacement will be less than the accumulated $9.99 per month
Case it up and give it a screen cover, and you’ll be fine.

Just so you know that if you decide to do the monthly, once you cancel it, there is no option to renew.
