I have a new Mac Mini M2 Pro with 16 GB memory and 512 GB SSD connected to a Dell U2723QE monitor. I also have a 5 month old Samsung T7 Shield 2 TB that I am not curently using. The Mac Mini will remain on my desk as I do not need portability.
I use ON1 software to edit my amateur photographs and do not do any video or gaming. I have nowhere near 1 TB of images.
My questions are the following:
Should I use my Samsung T7 Shield 2 TB for my Time Machine and purchase a 1 TB unit for storing images or get a 4 or 5 GB external desk top or portable HDD for Time Machine and use my 2 TB T7 for storing images?
Any recommendations on an HDD should I go that route.
