Hi. Is it possible to connect an external graphics card to Imac 27 '2011 without having to connect another monitor? I have this Imac. Everything works great, but it's High Sierra. I wanted Catalina. If you know how to do this, please let me know. Greetings

You can hook up an external GPU via Thunderbolt but you won't be able to drive the iMac's internal display from it. This is because the 2011 iMac requires a Thunderbolt input to act as a monitor (in Target Display Mode), and an eGPU does not provide that.

Thanks for the answer, I understand that this solution is best for mac mini. For now, I will continue to have fun with High Sierra, for me it's a great system. greetings
