Hey,

I've only ever had MBPs before but the Air looks like it will give me what I needed, except I see it only supports one external monitor.

Is that just because it only has 2x thunderbolt ports, is it not possible to get a dongle to solve that?

I work with 2 external monitors which is a deal breaker.

I believe it only has two display drivers, one of which is locked to the internal display.

But if that were the case, you should be able to connect two displays. The problem is that M1/M2 only have two display outputs, and one goes to the internal display.

There are these "display link" docks that could help, but from what I hear performance is not great.
