So I've decided to get the new iPhone and I'm new to AT&T. I would like to get a family plan, but my wife does not want an iPhone. My question is what do I tell the folks at the Apple Store when I get the iPhone. Do I tell them just an individual plan, then afterwards go to ATT and upgrade to a family plan? If I do that am I still eligible for the discounted price of the regular phone as if I'm starting a new contract?
I asked two ATT employees and they both told me differently. One said to get the iphone first then go to ATT to upgrade. The other told me to get everything setup at ATT first and then go to Apple to add the phone. Will Apple let me do that?
