I am going to be a new AT&T customer and want to have one iPhone only but want to have a family plan so my family members can share my plan. However, they will not be having iPhones. Can this work? Or must I have at least two iPhones?

Many people, including myself have family plans with only 1 iphone. No worries :)

But can I start my AT&T service at an Apple store and do family plan and do only one iPhone? I thought I read somewhere that you could not.

It seems you cannot do so from everywhere I heard, which is kind of lame. But anyone actually succeeded in buying only 1 iphone with a familytalk plan as a new ATT customer since the launch? We will be interested to there.
