Hello, my family’s iPads take a while to charge, I want to get a better plug as this is the problem. We currently use the 12w one from apple.

The plug needs to be an uk one, but does not need to be an apple plug. As long as it is compatible and won’t damage the iPads.

Some newer iPads support USB Power Delivery for fast charging. To use that, you need a lightning to usb-c cable like this: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MK0X2AM/A/usb-c-to-lightning-cable-1-m

and a usb-c power adapter like the ones for the macbook (they come in 29W, 61W, etc.):

The ones at the apple store tend to be pricier. I'm not sure where to find uk plugs as I'm in the US, but you can check amazon or similar online stores. Keep in mind, quality/brand is important as you don't want to ruin your iPad.

No MFi certification exists for third-party USB-C to Lightning cables yet so you’re stuck with the overpriced Apple one.

Any USB-C PD adapter is supported, but anything above 30W is a waste of money. Anker’s 30W is a pretty good value but if you want the fastest charge, then you want to get the 29W charger sold by Apple.
