Just an FYI to all:
I have been testing 10.13 on a maxed out late 2016 touchbar 15 rMBP wit FCPX and a number of plugins including FilmConvert and ColorFinale.
Since the late Dev Betas and the release, something changed. I was able to edit 4K XAVC-L from a Sony FS5 (a notorious CPU hog) before but only in "better performance" mode unless I rendered - if I had FilmConvert on the clip.
On the release version of 10.13, this is no longer the case. While not quite 24fps all the time, most of the time I can playback in real time, or close to, with a filter applied on native XAVC-L in 4K... with no rendering.. and in Best Quality (native 4K). This is a huge improvement. Very impressed!
