Have wanted a Surface Pro for a while and need a small laptop and ended up getting a Lenovo Yoga 11s instead. Just wasn't feeling the Surface Pro even with its reduced price but loved the size and portability. Just didn't want to shell out $899 plus another $120 for a keyboard. Not to mention it only has a 4 hour battery life.
The Yoga 11S was $799 and love the feel of it. Always did but didn't know there was a smaller model til today.
Getting used to Windows 8 and it hasn't been too bad. Need to get a 64GB SDcard to add more space. 128 GB is kinda small for a laptop and it only has 75GB available from the box.

Yeah this isn't big news. Just thought id share so maybe some others can chime in on what they got with Windows 8 other than a phone and maybe get some tips.

I too am considering the Yoga, do let us know how it is after a couple weeks of usage.

The network guys at work all have Surface Pros, and they like them despite the battery life.

No Tips or Apps for Windows 8?

Windows 8.1 is a pretty nice upgrade, but it's only beta currently. Office 2013 is nice, it has some nice changes for touch screens. OneNote Metro version is very nice for a quick note taking app.

A lot of the other stuff I use is the default apps, which I think MS did a great job with. Skydrive, news app, etc etc.

It's really just a newer version of Windows 7 when you disable Metro and download a start button.

Well if I did it I would want to do a clean install. Wipe everything and install all my programs again. So I'll need to wait til I have more free time.

Where do you download a start button? By downloading the beta 8.1?

8.1 doesn't have a real start button. If you want the functionality of the old windows 7 start button try classic shell, it's a very nice start button replacement that you can customize and actually make it better than the old start button.

You can find it here: http://www.classicshell.net/

I've been considering the Yoga for some time, as I'm a diehard fan of Lenovo's keyboard and would like to have a laptop/tablet combo. The only thing holding me back has been that the Yoga series lack the control stick, or "nipple", that most all their other laptops have.

That however, has just changed. I think I'll be getting myself a ThinkPad Yoga this fall :)
