Finder fails to list Windows machines in LAN

PROBLEM: After upgrade to Yosemite, "Shared" subheading in Finder fails to display. Mac no longer can discover Windows machines connected in the same local Wi-Fi network.

SOLUTION: Finder > Go > Connect To > smb://10.0.1.3

(Instead of 10.0.1.3, enter the IP Address from Windows' ipconfig)
