Hi there!
My first post here! 👋

A few weeks ago I've made the transfer from my old iMac to a Mac Studio M2. The first thing I did was the downgrade from Sonoma to Ventura 13.6.6, because I've read that Adobe InDesign 2024 does not work well with Sonoma. This downgrade went fine.

I have the following issue:
When I (re)start the system, Finder does not remember its windows from the former session. Often all of the Finder windows are gone. Every time I have to rebuild manually all (tabbed) Finder windows. :-(
On my old 2013 iMac with High Sierra/Mojave/Catalina I didn’t had this issue.

What things did I do to solve this problem?
- Apple logo > Restart… The option Reopen windows when logging back in is checked
- System Preferences > General > the option Close windows when quitting an app is unchecked
- Made a new user account > same problem in that account

No luck so far.
Can someone help me to solve this issue?

Frankly. I don't know why it happens. I assume something went wrong during the downgrade to Ventura (maybe other users have a solution). But just in case: InDesign issues on Sonoma are considered fixed for most users ever since macOS 14.3.
