fingerprint not working anymore

Hi,

I have an iPhone 6S and ios 11.0.1

Since i upgraded to ios11/11.01 the fingerprint recognition has not been working. I have deleted my finger print several times and re done it - but overtime it works for about 5 minutes then just never works.

Any ideas what this could be or how to solve it?

Ive restarted the phone, the home button is clean and clear.

This has been happening with my 6S Plus a lot also.

Its very strange, it's like its got REALLY bad since iOS 11. It works about every 1 out of 20 times. I'm thinking i might have to just disable this feature for the time being because I'm getting so frustrated at trying and failing overtime i pick up my phone.
