I have a question about FireWire daisy-chaining and a RAID setup.
I have a friend that wants to use a Mac mini as a file server with two LaCie 1.6TB Big Disk Extremes in a mirrored RAID.
Is this possible? Can the mini's single FireWire 400 port use two of these disks in a daisy chain? Can a RAID be effectively set up? What about four drives? Six? What are the possibilities with FireWire and RAID?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
