First timer owner questions

Hello all, I just bought a new Macbook Black 2.4Ghz , this is my first Apple/Macintosh machine. What a great product ! I need a few more days to get used to it.

Few of the questions I need to ask is:
How do I password-protect a folder ?
How do I password-protect my macbook after the screen saver goes off ?

im new to apple (since 25th december 2007
but used heaps of them in skwl since i was 7.
well to serurity yourMB after scrrensaver.
go to
SYSTEM PREFERENCES
SECURITY (TOP RIGHT)

then follow the steps for screensaver, encrypting folder ect.ect...

and i just did my own macbook then as well. so i know how to do it now

btw. how much RAM did u get?
