I'm new to the forum and wanted to share with you what my startup has been developing. We've been working on an email app for the iPad called Paperfold. Instead of showing your email like a list, we show your messages as tiles across the whole screen. To see more emails, you swipe from right to left, which causes the page to 'fold'.
The app is quite new so we're working on it each week, with feedback from users. We are adding more features as we update it.
