I discovered that by disabling smart hdr in settings you get a hdr on/off toggle in the camera app. By leaving it on in the camera app, does the phone actually force smart hdr for all pictures taken? Or does it use the less advanced "normal" hdr which previous iphones used?

I’m curious as well- if I leave HDR Auto on, is every photo taken automatically in HDR? Because when I take photos I make sure HDR is on every time

I don't know why photos aren't marked as hdr anymore. Only by saving both the hdr and non-hdr photos ios shows which one is the hdr one. Strange
