forgotten old macbook password

i have my new macbook pro. i wanna transfert my keychain data to my new macbook but i forget my old password. i have Time machine but also use the some password that i forgot. currently i have the login.keychain but i can't access to any password because i have to enter the old macbook password

any idea please 🙏 to recover the password.

It is not possible to recover a forgotten password, as they are not recorded anywhere in the system.

The Keychain is encrypted using a key generated with your old password. You may be out of luck on this.

This is why we write passwords down on paper, or in a little black book, or keep them in a "passwords file" on the computer (in an encrypted file which is password-protected, of course).

If you don't know the old password, looks like it's time to "start fresh".
And this time... WRITE IT DOWN.

On the old MacBook did you enable iCloud Keychain? If so, on the new MacBook connect to iCloud with the same Apple ID (if you know the ID and password).
