Anyone else think that app updates become way too frequent? Some apps are updated on weekly basis and most of the time there are no changes present. This is getting ridiculous. To me it looks like some developers are just trying to accelerate their KPI by annoying users. May be Apple should impelement some limit?

How can you release an app that requires WEEKLY bug fixes? I don’t believe that. I think this is just a pretext. May be they deliberately do not fix some bugs in bulk with single update so that there was a reason for new update. Some people are trying to show their CEOs/boses etc. how hard they work, how hard their job is.. How heroically they defeat bugs which no one even saw. WEEKLY.

Yes.
The developers are incompetent and the users indifferent. I leave one star reviews for every app that updates weekly, stating that very reason. If more users will do the same, the developers will finally beta test internally and release updates in a sane manner. But that’s not going to happen.
Facebook – 5 updates in February https://apps.apple.com/us/app/facebook/id284882215
Yahoo Mail – 3 updates in February https://apps.apple.com/us/app/yahoo-mail-organized-email/id577586159
TikTok - 4 updates in February https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tiktok/id835599320
Outlook - 3 updates in February and 2 already in March https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-outlook/id951937596

Yes, Facebook is a serial updater indeed. But still, I don’t believe developers are so incompetent that it’s required to update some app every week. What I meant was that they do this deliberately to get some benefits. They are paid to do this extra work and hence in at least some cases they are interested in making as much updates as possible even if it’s not necessary. I have some apps which are updated only several times a year and they work just fine.
