Full moon fever!!/Lunar "X"/General moon shots

Resurrecting this thread with a moon shot from a few nights ago.

It was the day after the new moon last night, so it's a 3.7% waxing crescent moon. This is how it looked as I picked up my 15 year old daughter Francine from indoor soccer practice.
Francine even commented she could see the moon outline still, I informed her that's called "earthshine", as it's actually light reflected off the earth , onto the moon .
Via iPhone 7+ camera.

Yeah, I cheated and did a composite. I cheated a lot. I still like it.

It won’t hold up to close inspection, even in the larger version, but it works okay on small screens.

It won't be easy to photograph our newest moon.

Moon 2020 CD3 is at most 6 meters in diameter and was just discovered to be orbiting the earth!

Last night and again tonite we in the northern hemisphere have a crescent moon with Venus close by. I hope we have clear weather to see the pair.

Tried to capture the moon eclipse on my Canon R5, too much clouds here in SE Michigan

But the iPhone 11Pro did a decent job thru the clouds
