Actually, I prefer this drive. Its a little smaller, however its only a Firewire/USB2 Hard drive. The internal drive is from Hitachi and the hardware design allows the elimination of the cooling fan. Sweet. G-Tech also makes RAID setups in a very similar, but somewhat taller, case.

I'm currently on the fence right now. I need a second hard drive before I upgrade to Tiger, and can't decide whether to go internal or get an external Firewire 400/800. I need this as a main backup drive, so I'm leaning towards the external drive. But Firewire, while speedy, is appearing to be Apple's achilles heel. So many updates end up borking the drives...I don't think I can take the chance. The drawback to the internal drive would be increased cooling noise. With 2 drives, I'm sure I'll hear the fans a lot more.
